LAMP LIGHTING CEREMONY

The Lamp Lighting Ceremony, is celebrated within the nursing fraternity to honour the legacy of Florence Nightingale ( the lady with the lamp),one of the pioneers of modern Nursing, to initiate aspiring nurses into this noble profession followed by an oath taking ceremony also known as the Nightingale Pledge, where they vow to put the wellbeing of their patients first in every situation.
